I read an article today: I Won’t Apologize for Having Fun While Chronically Ill by Denise Reich. The reaction I offered to my friends on Facebook (several of whom, like me, struggle with chronic and often invisible illnesses) was this:

Have fun while chronically ill! I am here to support you, and join you in your (mis)adventures. (You provide transportation please, I can’t drive thanks to my own chronic condition.) We all deserve to get the most we can out of the life we’ve got!! I believe that with all my heart.

It bore repeating.
