You know, I’m not feeling that great today. Muscle tension is creeping up the left side of my neck, headed for a headache. My throat is swollen and sore (again.) I’m tired enough that I expect to be asleep by 7:30.

But.

Today I took some beautiful photos. I analyzed poultry politics with a kindergartner and marveled at the bizarre faces of tom turkeys. I bought local cheese, and cooked a big pot of chili. I pretended to get my hair dyed (it took nine different bottles!) and let my husband nap for an hour and a half in the middle of the day. I read about dance and energywork, I listened to videogame music on a podcast, and I watched a cartoon about a witch who gets what she needs with the help of magic and good friends.
